Abstract Artist

Yesterday, Cole got to have Lyric over for a play date. I decided that it would be fun if the kiddos got to finger paint. I teetered back and forth about using real finger paint or food products like mustard, ketchup, pudding, etc. The finger paint seemed to clean up pretty well and dried fairly quickly in the sun so we used it.
Both kids seemed to have a grand time. Lyric (a year older than Cole) took her time and made a masterpiece. Cole dove right in and let his creative juices flow. He had no fear of smearing the paint around and getting covered with it. Great artists have their own unique style.

This is Cole's masterpiece. I'm such a proud Mama. I think it's beautiful.
Finger painting is a lot of fun. I think we'll be doing this again real soon.

It is funny how all the kids do those things so differently. I try to get Tyler to be messy with his finger paints, and all he will do is put one finger in. It does make for easy clean-up though!
